Data Sources
The system collects data from either ODBC sources (which provides access to most common relational databases as well as Excel) or from standard "flat files" extracted from legacy systems. Data is based on readily available CDS items for Inpatients, Outpatients and Waiting Lists.

The system also provides manual collection routines for summary data not available via data sets or submitted as summary fast track returns.

Source data is processed by optional, locally defined cleaning routines, which will map the data onto standard reference tables (both local and national) to provide a central source of detailed information. Key data items are also retained to allow cross-reference with the data held in operational systems.
